Condensate Treatment

Condensate polishing is performed to reduce the risk of damaging the boiler and turbine caused by the accumulation of impurities.

Boasting more than 4 decades’ experience in the water treatment industry, IDC can find the right solution based on three main steps:

The removal of suspended solids, produced by corrosion phenomena inside the condensate piping, is done through Cartridge Filters.
This filtration is a simple and effective technology to remove particles from the water by means of the correct size that must take into consideration the particle size to be removed and the water flowrate.

Carbon filtering works by adsorption, the pollutants in the condensate to be treated are trapped inside carbon substrate.
The carbon granules are highly porous so as to make the total surface area within which chlorides, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other contaminants are trapped.

The final dissolved solids removal and silica polishing is made through Mixed Bed Exchangers.
A mixed bed ion exchanger uses two regenerative ion exchange systems (a strong acidic cation resin and a strong base anion resin) to remove impurities and produce high quality water.

FILTRATION

Cartridge filters supplied to Ferrostaal for Bachaquero Power Plant, in Venezuela, with a flow rate of 520 m3/h.

ACTIVATED CARBON FILTERS

Acivated Carbon filter supplied to TCO for Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan, with a flow rate of more than 450 m3/h.

MIXED BED EXCHANGERS

Polishing Mixed Beds Package with a capacity of 600 m3/h, complete with frontal skid and eluates neutralization basin, provided for ENGRO Fertilizer Complex in Pakistan
